Description Original Springfield M 1879 wrench / Combination Tool. This tool is in excellent condition and functions perfect. It features 2 screwdriver blades, Band spring punch and it’s top slot opening serves as a mainspring clamp. This tool will work on all Springfield 45-70 Rifles, Carbines, and Cadets. It will fit in the Butt compartment of a Model 1888 rifle. This tool will also work on Earlier Civil War Muskets and rifles. It can be used to totally remove and disassemble a 58 Caliber musket including the lock.
