It’s completely wireless and can be placed anywhere. The battery lasts a very long time and can be easily recharged once it runs out of power. The circuit board sticks out the back 0.5″ to allow for easy charging. Please note that the bottom of the stand is purposely left open so the electronics are exposed in case any repairs are needed in the future.
