Custom Pickups Provide Signature EVH Tone The Wolfgang USA is equipped with a pair of custom-designed EVH humbucking pickups that provide the powerful yet nuanced tone that Eddie is known for. The bridge pickup delivers a bold, aggressive tone with tight lows, searing highs and a slight midrange scoop, perfect for complex riffing and blazing solos. The neck pickup produces a warm, rounded tone with rich lows and smooth highs, ideal for chords and cleans. A 3-way toggle switch provides access to each pickup individually as well as a combination of both pickups. Fast Maple Neck and Ebony Fingerboard The Wolfgang USA features a quartersawn maple neck and an ebony fingerboard, a combination selected for optimum playability and tone. The fast maple neck profile provides comfort and speed, while the ebony fingerboard offers a smooth feel and articulate note definition. A 12″–16″ compound radius allows effortless string bending and low action. 22 jumbo frets extend up to the 24th fret on this versatile performance guitar.
